Hosting Agencies Loved their Nomads!

7/7/2022

Many of our Spring project teams received amazing comments from our Hosting United Methodist agencies:

From Period 5 projects:

"Their work was efficient and timely. They were flexible with weather, materials, and projects which made their stay with us invaluable. We are grateful for their ministry."  Camp Sumatanga, Gallant, AL

"
I say it again an awesome team during the entire 3 week project."  Camp J. D. Tygart, Ray City, GA

"A great team that worked well together. Skilled volunteers. They are welcome at our campus any time."   Hillsboro UMC, Hillsboro, MO

"
Excellent. Very good team with solid, good leadership."  Lake Junaluska Assembly, Lake Junaluska, NC

"
Great work. looking forward to next year."  Decker UMC, Austin, TX

From Period 6 projects:

"The team was wonderful! This was a very difficult list of work starting with the windows. Each window had to be broken out and replaced with new energy efficient windows. Most of this work had to be done while standing on scaffolding or ladders. The painting was done professionally. The LED light change out was a wonderful addition as the paint was darker than the old industrial white walls which it replaced. I cannot say enough about this team. Everyone was cheerful and happy to do the work. They worked very hard! Can they ALL come back!?"  Fairview UMC, Camden, AR

"
Nothing but positive things to say about this group. The big project was the flooring. Many people advised the project would be incomplete after the 3rd week, and that it would be too much. They were done in 2 weeks! Very pleased and thrilled with the work they did."  Camp Lakewood, Wolcottville, IN

"
Great people, great attitudes, and high-quality work. All of the work the nomads did was to a high standard and really set us up well. Some of the conditions were not ideal, but they made the most of the project and corrected the issues. They've done work that will impact our staff and our campers in a positive way. Very engaged personally in addition to work."  Loucon Training Center, Leitchfield, KY

"
Everyone was wonderful to work with and they did good quality work. Everyone seemed to be knowledgeable or have some sort of knowledge about the project they were working on. They were wonderful about having their own tools and equipment for the projects they were completing. What's even better is they picked up any remaining supplies or materials and put them where they belong around the camp, so I don't have to come back around and pick up."  Jo-Ota Methodist Association, Clarence, MO

"
All Nomads were up to any task given and eager to help where needed, that best matched their skills and physical abilities. Everyone was flexible, productive and displayed patience and positive attitudes. Everyone stayed on task under poor circumstances in our Patterson housing unit. Several good suggestions were made to improve the condition of the house."  Hinton Rural Life Center, Hayesville, NC
