Rebuilding Continues in Texas Dec 8, 2018
It is starting to look a lot like Christmas everywhere. The church is decorated and we attended a Christmas program in Corpus Christi on Sunday afternoon. We currently have 5 members of the team participating with the church choir for their Cantata for December 16 worship. It was great weather to go to the beach as well. This week we finished our third house in Rockport. We finished sanding the drywall, priming and putting 2 coats of paint on the garage by noon on Tuesday. The team at the house in Aransas Pass got most of the inside work done and then joined the rest of the team at another house we were starting in Rockport on Wednesday, while they wait on the rest of their supplies. On Monday Dennis, Lora, and Kevin went to a new house by Copano Bay to start the work. The whole team worked at the new Copano Bay house on Wednesday and Thursday. At this house we need to finish insulation and hanging the drywall that was started by a group of teenagers earlier this fall. As we are moving forward we need to make repairs to the structure.
There is no one leaving the team this week, but we are looking forward to a new NOMAD joining the team for his first project this week. We should also finish the house in Aransas Pass this week.We have posted a blog about our work with pictures for the week at:
