Rebuilding Continues through Thanksgiving in Texas

We finished this week with the team working in both Aransas Pass and in Rockport. We welcomed Gary and Avis Norton and Sue Albright to the team on Saturday with a trip to Dairy Queen. We also celebrated that John and Kitty Hahn decided to stay another week with us. On Sunday the church held a Thanksgiving potluck to honor the NOMAD team after church. We had leftovers from the potluck at the team meeting on Sunday evening.

At the house in Rockport we finished the master bathroom with the new laminate flooring, installing the toilet, and painting the room. In the kitchen we completed the counters, sink installation, and all trim. In the Bedrooms and hallway we completed the flooring, trim and all transitions. On the outside Nancy and Sara installed the lattice around the base of the house.  On Wednesday we presented the Bible to the homeowner to complete her house. She was elated at being able to use her kitchen to cook in again. Even with the kitchen being in process she made a beef soup for the team at lunch on Tuesday.

At the house in Aransas Pass the team of Gary and Avis Norton and Sue Albright completed the hall and living room drywall. They were able to get the second coat of paint on the house by Wednesday afternoon. We will begin tearing out the drywall in the kitchen and back room next week at this site.

On Thursday morning we said goodbye to the Hahn's as they left for Arizona.
For Thanksgiving 4 of the team members were invited to a church members home in the area and 3 of us went to Pastor Cliff's for dinner.

We have posted a blog  about our work for the week at:
