NOMADS’ friends, we encourage you to come to the beautiful Northwest this summer! We have three new projects in Washington state—3 small Methodist churches south of Olympia—in Pe Ell, McCleary, and Tumwater-- who are excited about hosting their first NOMADS’ project. In addition to these new projects, Randle UMC has scheduled another project as well as Camp on the Boulder in Montana and Ten Sleep, Wyoming. The value of your donated hours through NOMADS or through other volunteer efforts is given a specific value each year, and it has been announced by the company 'Independent Sector' that the value of these hours for 2010 is $21.36. This compares with $20.85 per hour in 2009. NOMADS had quite an impact in 2010, with the value of their donated hours in excess of 2.3 million dollars. Thank you NOMADS, for your dedication and service to those in need.
NOMADS...start thinking about your plans for the second half of 2011, as our Summer-Fall Projects list will be out on March 31, 2011. Signups are more casual for this season, as there is less demand and the projects are spread out around the country more so than they are during our busy winter schedule.
