We are a ministry of the United Methodist Church
Tomorrow we will dress up our Ford Flex for Trunk or Treat at the church. Last Saturday Carolyn sewed with some of the ladies at the church, making dresses for girls in Honduras. The dresses start out with a t-shirt. Then we gather a larger “tube” of material, hem it, gather it, and sew it to the t-shirt. It was amazing how cute the dresses came out. Our work has been progressing at each house. At Miss Sandra’s and Mr. Nate’s house, we have finished the floors in the bedroom and worked ...
Our period 13 projects ended recently, and the United Methodist agencies where we worked this period had some wonderful things to say about their teams: "Perfect! Could not have gone any better. Very flexible as weather changed and materials arrived, excellent results and they got a lot done. A very fun group and we all enjoyed having them here and hated to see them go." "The Nomads showed great flexibility. Weather was not the best as rain hit so many were asked to help inside. This project ...
The NOMADS received a lovely card from Midwest Mission Distribution, with thanks for our Sunday worship offering for them, during Annual Meeting in Iowa last month.
This past week, week 3, in Hattiesburg was a real busy one. We are still working on the home of Nathanial and Sandra, but were also given another home to finish. Gene, Gene, Sharon, and Mary Ann, all worked for three straight days sanding the floors. The wooden floors are at least sixty years old. After sanding off the old finish, and a lot of paint and sheetrock ...

We have worked with sheetrock, painting, laying laminate flooring, hanging kitchen cabinets, etc. We have worked in Oklahoma City, Mustang and Norman. It is heart warming to see the homeowners so grateful ...

George and Lynn spent the week in the bathroom – finishing the sheetrock work. They finished the taping and mudding getting it ready for paint. By ...
