Annual Meeting in Crescent City, Illinois

Many of us are travelling to Crescent City, Illinois for our Annual Meeting and Reunion, which officially begins on Sunday, September 15th, 2019. Please pray for safe travels for all our NOMADS travelling to the event. Our Board of Directors meets today, September 13th, so please include a prayer for our Lord's guidance as they discuss the business and future of our organization. 

Wisconsin Disaster Rebuilding Continues - Aug 26, 2019

Wisconsin Report 8/17-23 This week we said goodbye to Tom and Jenny as they headed to Michigan to lead another project. Thanks for all your hard work! We welcomed Nancy and Gary to Wisconsin this week. Our temperatures have cooled down with a low one morning of 46 and most of the daily highs were in the 70’s. Really nice place to be in August. Max and Anne took over leadership in Wisconsin on 8/16 and said goodbye to leaders Jack and Barb and team members Calvin and Marsha.  They did great work here and the homeowners and church members were sad to see them leave.  We welcomed Jodi and Stel and Tom and Jenny as new Wisconsin team members.  On Sunday we had a wonderful worship service at Winding Rivers UMC. We welcomed Duane and Jennifer Gebhard and Jack and Barb Schmoll to our team. All of us have been spoiled by the hospitality of the church and by the great meals that Roxy fixed for us. This week has been busy and productive. On Monday, Cindy, Bruce, and Janette finished Isaac’s house. They finished the doors, baseboard, and trim in the house. Disaster Work Continues in Wisconsin July 14, 2019

We had a great time this week and got a lot accomplished. Bruce and Janette Lenhardt came in on Saturday and Cindy Schenck joined us on Sunday for this week’s DR team. Friday we said good-bye to Gary and Betsy Johnson and Dale and Anne Messmore. Thursday evening of this week Jack and Barb Schmoll joined us at dinner and then came in on Friday. Wisconsin Disaster Rebuilding Team Report July 6, 2019

We have been welcomed royally by Winding Rivers UMC.  The congregation is very friendly and we are fed at least 3 times per week.  The food is great!  Roxy does a great job taking care of us.  Pastor Deb is a go-getter and is inspiring this congregation to be active in service  They provide housing and meals for volunteers.  We have encountered rain every day except Friday, but the rain has not hampered our work.  Most days the rain came after the work day was finished.   This week Anne and Dale...

End of our Time in Baton Rouge 5-10-19

Baton Rouge Update 5/10/2019   The NOMADS Disaster Rebuild project has come to an end in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Thursday was bittersweet with the leaving.  At the end we were still working on two homes that still needed a lot of work to be completed.
