Summer-Fall projects without leaders now open for signups

If you've been waiting to join a team NOMADS, now's your opportunity as we've opened ALL of our projects in 2012 to signups, even if there is not a leader in place.  Login to the member's area and use the project signup software, or email or call the NOMADS office for assistance.

Update on Disaster Rebuilding Efforts for Alabama and North Carolina

Please pray for our Disaster Rebuilding Revolving teams in Haleyville, AL and Vandemere, NC, which will begin February 20 and 27, 2012, respectively. Currently, in Haleyville, 47 one-week slots have been filled over a 14 week period. In Vandemere, 47 one-week slots have also been filled over the 11 week period. Info about the volunteer hours donated by NOMADS in 2011 is now available for NOMADs in the Member's Area, under the heading Member Resources. 

More fall projects added to schedule

During period 11 we’ve added Ocean Park Retreat Center in Ocean Park, WA, and in period 13 we’ve added Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Chatham, IL, Aldersgate Camp in Ravenna, KY and Belle Haven, VA at Occohannock on the Bay Camp.   In period 15 we’ve scheduled TMM Family Services in Tucson, AZ and First UMC in Taft, TX, so all of these now have leader openings.

Additional mission projects added to Summer-Fall schedule

Camp Kingswood in Minnetrista, MN during period 10 (begins July 16th), Camp Horizon in Arkansas City, KS during period 13 (begins Oct 8th).  Both of these projects will require a leader signup prior to them being opened to other signups.

Disaster Rebuilds in Alabama and North Carolina added to schedule

Two Disaster Rebuilding efforts have now been added to the NOMADS schedule for 2012.  NOMADS members were emailed the details on December 10th.  The Alabama site is in Haleyville, and will run from Feb 20th through May 24th, 2012.  The North Carolina site is in Vandemere and begins Feb 27th through at least the end of May.  Full details in the earlier email.  Signup using the project sign up software in the member's area of our website. 

2012 Budget

NOMADS interested in our 2012 Budget may now login, page down to Recent News for Members, and click on "2012 Budget" from our treasurer, Cliff Schornick.  He has some easy to read pie charts included, so please go check it out.   

Summer Projects added to schedule

Now available for leader signups:  Period 8 in Bigfork, MT at Flathead Lake UM Camp, Period 9 in Rathdrum, ID at Twinlow Camp and in Pontiac, IL at Evenglow Lodge.  Also Period 12 in North Webster, IN at Epworth Forest Conference Center and in Topeka, KS at Forest Park Conf and Retreat Center.  Also, the Life Enrichment Center project in Fruitland Park, FL has been moved from period 15 to period 14 during 2012.
