How to become a Hosting Agency
Thank you for your interest in hosting NOMADS. If you are a United Methodist affiliated organization and would like to partner with us in mission-related projects, we would love to hear from you! Our standard projects are three weeks in duration and are led by an experienced NOMADS team leader. We work four days per week, Monday through Thursday, in the Southern regions in the wintertime and at various locations the remainder of the year.
The host agency provides the NOMADS with RV parking with hook-ups. This can be at your work site or at a campground. Full hook-ups include 30 amp electric service, water and (if possible) sewage hookups. However if a dump station for “black water” is available nearby, this can be used. You will also need to plan for a staff person to help acclimate NOMADS to your area and to have materials available when the team needs them. If you would like a DVD on hosting NOMADS, please contact our office.
You can also find additional information in Frequently Asked Questions.
If, after looking at these materials and discussing it with members of your church or organization, you want the help of NOMADS, please complete the New Host Site info above. Our administrator will then connect you with a member of our Project Coordination Committee.
Project Coordination Committee (PCC) Members
The PCC members serve as liaisons between NOMADS and NOMADS Hosting Agencies. They are a great resource for United Methodist Organizations (Hosting Agencies) who are interested in hosting NOMADS for the first time. Committee members represent the different Jurisdictions of the United Methodist Church. To contact the PCC member for your area please click here
