New Agency Partner in North Central Jurisdiction
Are you looking for a great experience involving mission work in the heart of the country? We have a new mission partner in the Dairy State of Wisconsin just looking for you! Monona United Methodist Church, located in the heart of Monona (just outside Madison), is a small congregation, struggling financially but very involved in the community. They have requested NOMADS help to upgrade and improve some of their facilities. What a wonderful time to experience the beauty of the rolling hills of the “cheese capitol” of the world while spreading God’s love along with other NOMADS.
The project will be Period 10, July 14-31, 2014. Check the member page on the website for more details and add your name to the team list. You’ll love spending some of the summer in the beauty of the Midwest.
We also invite you to check out some of the other 2014 NCJ projects at camps in North Webster, IN and Dixon, IL, as well as a lovely Senior Retirement Center in the heart of Pontiac, IL. All offer great places to be involved in mission! Epworth Forest Camp (IN) has removed the restriction on pets, so even our 4-legged family members are welcome if kept on a leash! The camp has 6 full hookup (30/50 amp), nice level sites installed by NOMADS just last year.
Have just a few days when passing through the central part of the US? Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Chatham, IL, just north of Springfield, can use drop-in volunteers all the time. Call Pat Wright, Director, at 217-483-7911, if you can spend a few days there.
