The week of August 28 - 31, 2017 in Lumberton, NC Gene and I received a call on Sunday, August 27 from Dave and Cathy Dieter asking us if we had room for them on the team. Of course we said yes! They joined us Monday evening and started working on Tuesday. We put in bathroom vanities, trimmed out the bathrooms and laundry rooms. (We are working on two houses next door to each other). Lumberton Disaster Rebuilding Continues Aug 27, 2017

The week of August 21 to 24th in Lumberton After the team left on August 18 Gene and I moved to the mobile home park where the Nomads will be staying. Tom and Betty, Mark and Debbie and Bryant and Jackie came in on Saturday. We worked on the same house in Fairmont and started on the house next door. We laid linoleum, hung kitchen cabinets, hung doors, hung paneling, painted doors and trim and worked on plumbing and electric.  The team worked very hard even in temperatures around 96 and the ...

Disaster Rebuilding Continues in North Carolina Aug 18th

Week of August 14-17, 2017 The team finished L & V's home on Tuesday. We started another house and put in drywall, paneling and painted the bathroom. Morris went and helped put in sewage pipes at the mobile home park where the Nomads will be staying for the rest of the project. Every afternoon the team would all gather at Karen and Morris' rig to relax and discuss the day. We all went out to have pizza on Tuesday evening and went out on Thursday for Mexican. Team Lumberton Weekly Report July 28th

Monday we started a punch list for Mary Elizabeth's house so that project will be finished this week in the living areas. Suzanne & Larry spent the day there working on trim. Carol worked at Leon's house getting drywall finished so that ceiling can be finished & walls painted. Randy & Mary worked on the landing for the rear storage area.
